JOAN LOUISE (HAWKS) HOPKINS, 92, passed away Nov. 13, 2013 at Whitman Health & Rehab Center in Colfax, WA. Joan was born May 26, 1921 in Benge, WA to John Lewis & Clara Emma (Beckley) Hawks. She was raised on the family farm at Benge, WA. Joan attended the country school at Rock Creek before graduating from Lacrosse High School. She later married Floyd E. Hopkins on April 18, 1942. Joan is survived by her three children Sandra (Gregg) Wise of Spokane; Monty (Sherry) Hopkins of Steptoe and Micke Hopkins of Colfax; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd and grandson Todd Wise. As was her wish no public services are planned. Bruning Funeral Home of Colfax, WA is caring for the family.
