She began working for Dr. Maurice Bryant and St. Ignatius Hospital as a nurse's aide in the late 60's. She continued to utilize her nursing skills in caring for many elderly patients in her later years. She was a witty and boisterous individual with a gregarious laugh who loved reading, crafting, needlework, quilting and derived much joy from watching hummingbirds in her backyard as well as cheering on the Gonzaga men's basketball team from afar. Joeanne was passionate about the Deep South and studied it intensely. She and Larry were blessed to take several vacations over the years to the area. She was an active and dedicated member of Beta Sigma Phi for 50+ years. The family would like to thank her niece, Heidi Sorenson and Kindred Care Hospice Moscow, ID for their care and dedication during Joeanne's final days.
