JOHN CHARLES EASTBURN, 66, PULLMAN

John Charles Eastburn of Pullman died of cancer peacefully at his home, surrounded by loved ones on July 20th, 2017. He was born to Benjamin Robert Eastburn and Nora Nellie Jacobine Halverson on May 2, 1951. John was raised in Pullman and attended Pullman High School.

John was proud to be a Marine and served our country 1969-1971, including one year in Viet Nam. He owned and successfully operated "Inland Coatings" for many years until his retirement. He was an avid sportsman, and was well-known for his love of hunting and fishing. John loved to play poker, and he was pretty good at it.

He is survived by his wife Karen (Emerson) Eastburn, along with her two adult sons, Justin Pond and Jim Pond of Pullman; Jim's son, Adam Pond of Bozeman, Montana; a daughter from an early marriage, Rebecca James of Fort Worth, Texas, and her children, Copeley Bell and Lucas Bell. John was previously married to Joanne (Hedrick) Eastburn of Moscow. He loved and helped raise her two sons as his very own. Jason Hedrick and his wife Susanna live in Oak Harbor, Washington, along with her son, Eric Ennes. Jason's sons, Jeremy Hedrick and Brendon Hedrick, live in Valencia, California.
Marcus Hedrick resides in San Francisco.

Interment will be at 11:00 on Saturday, October 7th, in the Emerson Family Plot at the Albion Cemetery. A potluck celebration of his life will begin at 1:00 at the Eastburn residence in rural Pullman. Kimball Funeral Home of Pullman, WA has been entrusted with arrangements.
