JOHN R. GEISSINGER, 65, of Endicott, WA passed away on June 13, 2013 at Whitman Health & Rehabilitation Center in Colfax, WA. John was born Aug. 2, 1947 in Santa Monica, CA to Robert S. & Cecilia (Moore) Geissinger. John grew up in a Military family so following graduation from high school he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp in 1967. After five years of service John was honorably discharged in 1972 and attended college for a while, until going to work as a Land Surveyor, a career he enjoyed his entire life. He lived in different areas until settling in Arlington, WA where he resided for some 20 years. In 2010 John moved to Endicott, where he has made his home. John was a motor head who enjoyed restoring & racing vehicles. He loved to go fast and also enjoyed motorcycles. John was a member of the Endicott Gun Club and the NRA. He is survived by his significant other Cheryl Arnold of Endicott; his daughter Jessica Geissinger (Travis Schlunegar) of Endicott; his son Mitchell Howell of Salem, OR; his grandson James Robert Garrett and his 5 brother & sisters Jim, Jay, Joyce, Julie & Joan Geissinger. A memorial gathering is planned for Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 3 PM at the Endicott Gun Club. Bruning Funeral Home of Colfax, WA is caring for the family.
