John H. Larsen, Jr., 96, of Pullman, WA passed away December 20, 2025 at Pullman Regional Hospital.  John was born July 20, 1929 in Tacoma, WA where he grew up and graduated from Stadium High School.  He attended the University of Puget Sound for a time and Married Nancy Lee Bartles in 1951 in Tacoma, WA.  John served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953, including one year in Korea.  Upon his return he completed his Bachelor Degree at the University of Washington followed by his Masters and PhD.  John was awarded a two-year Post Doc Fellowship at the Department of Biological Structure at the University of Washington Medical School 1963-1964.  In 1965 John and Nancy moved to Pullman where he began his career at Washington State University. He served through the years as an Assistant Professor and Full Professor at WSU.  John also chaired the Zoology department and was the Director of the Electro Microscopy Center during his tenure.  He retired from Washington State University in 1994.  He also received a Commendation Medal for all his many accomplishments at the university.  He is survived by his wife Nancy at their Pullman home.  No public services are planned.  Corbeill Funeral Home of Pullman, WA has been entrusted with arrangements.
