Johnsy Dotha Stipe Hall passed away May 22, 2015 at Whitman Hospital after a long battle with cancer and other medical problems. She was born June 2, 1927 in Diamond, WA. to John and Bertha (Andersen) Stipe. She went to grade school in St. John and high school in Colfax. Johnsy married Dale Hall January 11, 1944. They farmed near Steptoe and raised their family there. She was an avid bowler, liked to ride snowmobiles, always tended to a large garden and loved to play bridge. She was an enthusiastic attender of the many sporting events of her children and grandchildren. Johnsy and Dale moved into Colfax in 1991 and Dale passed away in 1994. She is survived by her children; Claudia Tyszko of Lynnwood, WA, Cary Hall (Shannon) of Garfield, Beth Asbjornsen (Terry) and John Hall both of Colfax; 22 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson as well as her sister, Naomi White of Spokane and her brother Bill Stipe on Whidbey Island. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 2 grandsons and 3 sisters. A Memorial Service for family and close friends will be held Friday, May 29th, at 4:00 pm at the Colfax Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Don Moore officiating. Burial will be held privately at the Bethel Cemetery at Steptoe. The family suggests memorial gifts be made to the Bethel Cemetery at Steptoe, the American Cancer Society, or to the Whitman Hospital Foundation's Tomosynthesis (mammogram) Fund Drive.
