Josephine "Jo" Elizabeth Berthiaume passed away in Moscow, Idaho, Tuesday, November 9, 2021. She was 100 years old. Jo was a native and a resident of her beloved, Tacoma, Washington until moving to Pullman in June, 2019 to be near family. Jo was born on August 12, 1921 to parents Julia and Anton Buhr. After graduating from St. Leo High School, she and her twin sister, Julie became registered nurses after training at St. Joseph Hospital. As a career registered nurse, she worked in hospitals, clinics and assisted living facilities in Tacoma, Aberdeen and Ellensburg. Jo loved her family and friends and they loved her. She will be greatly missed. Jo was proceeded in death by her husband, Robert, her son, Richard, her parents Anton and Julia Buhr, and her five siblings, Anthony, Sister Julia Antoinette (Emma), Albert, Gerhard (Jeff) and Julie Weber. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Warter, her son, Gerald (Mary), four grandchildren, Julia Goddard (Mark), Robert Berthiaume (Jamie), Charles Berthiaume (Lanie), Rory Berthiaume, and eleven great grandchildren. A Rosary will be held at St. Leo's Church in Tacoma on Friday, December 10 th at 11:30am. Her funeral mass will follow at 12:10pm with graveside committal at Calvary Cemetery following the mass and reception. Kimball Funeral Home of Pullman, WA has been entrusted with arrangements.
