Joyce Darlene (Hergert) Lally passed away on November 12, 2011. Joyce was born on November 9, 1930 to Conrad and Norine (Granstand) Hergert at home on the family farm in Endicott, Washington. After attending WSU and graduating from Eastern Washington State College, Joyce taught school in Benge and Washtucna, WA until her retirement in 1992. She was active in the Washtucna Education Association where she served as a past president and grievance committee chairman. She was a board member of WEA Retired. She was on the school board for Endicott schools for many years. She also served as a member of the Social Studies Committee for the Office of Public Instruction in Olympia, WA. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Whitgro and the Multiflora Garden Club. Joyce married Richard "Pat" Lally and was later divorced. She is survived by her three children, Gaye Brockett of Endicott, Rick (Ebee) of Valleyford, and Colleen (Will) of Endicott, sister June Rowland of Packwood WA, five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, and brother Marvin Hergert. At her request, there will be graveside services at the Endicott Cemetery on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 11:00 am for family and friends.
