Julie Durango Quilang, age 66, passed away on December 19, 2017 at the Courtyard in Colfax. A memorial service will be held at the Catalyst Church, 714 S. Crestview Drive, in Colfax on January 13, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. She was born on October 31, 1951 to Vevencio and Flordeliza (Alejandro) Durango in Butuan City Philippines. She lived in Butuan City most of her childhood where she attended Agusan High School and met the love of her life, Othelo Quilang. They married on May 29, 1969 in Butuan City. They moved to Cagayan de Oro, Philippines in 1985 and lived there until 2011 when they moved to Colfax, Washington. Julie loved growing plants and flowers, especially orchids but most of all, loved her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband in Colfax, Othelo, her 7 kids; Othelo (Francisca) Quilang, Mark Joseph Quilang, Myrla Quilang, Joy (Ernie) Tubilla, all of Cagayan de Oro, Philippines, Cove (John) Tolentino of Panpanga, Philippines, Joan (Jim) Wages of Springdale, Arizona, and Marcy (Blake) Sager of Colfax, Washington; her grandchildren, Ruthy and Christine Mae Tubilla, Jullene and Kenneth Sager, James Thelo, Jay Francis Quilang, Barthelo Nathaniel and Tobia Liam Tolentino; 3 brothers, 3 sisters, 2 half-brothers, 1 half-sister and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
