Karen S. Schroer passed away December 20, 2012 at Whitman Health and Rehabilitation Center in Colfax WA, she was 56. Karen was born November 14, 1956 to John and Viola (Davis) Fredrick in Cincinnati, Ohio where she lived until 2004 before moving to Colfax. She was married at a very young age and had two children but was later divorced. Karen was a very giving and selfless person who very much loved animals. Her favorite times were spent with her family who meant the world to her; she especially loved to spoil her grandchildren. Karen just loved to have an all-around good time no matter the situation, and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children; Frank Kruse, Joe Schroer, Holly Herne Danielle Herne, and Lori Herne. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Sandra Ross and a brother. A memorial service will be held Saturday January 5, 2013, at 1:00 P.M. at the Church of the Nazarene in Colfax. Bruning Funeral Home is caring for the family.
