IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kyle T.
Fischel
December 28, 1961 – May 25, 2019
Kyle T. Fischel, 57, died peacefully in his sleep on May 25, 2019, at Hospice of Spokane after a short illness. Kyle was born December 28, 1961, to Lois Jean Snyder Fischel at Walla Walla, Washington. She married U.S. Air force Major Edward A Fischel on September 10, 1965. Kyle and his siblings were adopted by Ed Fischel on September 2, 1966, and Ed became their beloved father. While Ed was engaged in active service, the family lived in many places, including Pullman, Washington; Chelmsford, Massachusetts; El Centro, California; Satellite Beach, Florida; and Hawthorne, California. Kyle graduated from Lawndale (California) High school in 1979. He then served as a law enforcement specialist in the U.S. Air Force. After being honorably discharged in November 1980, he moved to Redondo Beach, California and then to Moscow, Idaho, to be near family. When Ed Fischel became ill, Kyle returned to California to help provide care until Ed passed away on May 23, 2002. After that, while living in Puyallup, Washington, and then Lewiston, Idaho, he helped his mother until she died in March 22, 2012. He loved rock and roll and learned to play the drums at an early age. He kept his drums throughout his life and enjoyed playing at home or onstage. He was a gifted artist and during his teens, he published an original comic book, sharing it with family, friends and classmates. During his life, he held many jobs, including security guard, network specialist, medical technician, produce clerk, and production worker. He brought enthusiasm and his infectious grin to everything he did. He loved learning new things and showing off newly acquired skills. He loved books and anything that had to do with Star Wars. A spiritual man, he was generous to a fault and would happily give away, not just the shirt off his back, but his favorite shirt and his last dime. He fell in love easily and hard. He was idealistic and romantic, and he cherished all the women who shared his life journey. He loved children, but never had any of his own. He is survived by his siblings, Connie Jo (Chris) Mares, Michael Eugene Fischel (Brenda), and Deborah Lorraine Fischel, six nieces and nephews and eleven of their children. His father and mother preceded him. Kyle lived life to the fullest. He loved sharing his passions with others. He would urge all of us to give our lives over to God and to remember Kyle by living our best lives, dedicating ourselves to the Word of the Lord in Christ's name. Kyle will be laid to rest, next to his parents, at Moscow Cemetery. A Memorial Celebration is being planned for June 22, 2019, at 1:30PM, at the Moscow Cemetery. BBQ to follow.
