Larry William Torrence, 70, of Albion, WA died Dec. 29, 2016 at Avalon Care Center in Pullman, WA surrounded by his family. The funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017 at Kimball Funeral Home in Pullman. Concluding services with full Military Honors will follow at the Pullman Cemetery. Larry was born Aug. 19, 1946 in Wenatchee, WA to Richard & Ethel (Townsend) Torrence. He grew up in and attended school in Wenatchee and following high school graduation attended college for a time. Larry entered the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and served from 1964 until his honorable discharge in 1971. Larry went into the construction industry where he became specialized in roofing. He served as roofing inspector while living in Marysville, WA and later for Pine River Management while living in Colville, WA. Larry married Mary L. McLane on March 17, 1978 in Everett, WA. Together they raised their children. Following their time in Colville they moved to the Pullman area in 2011 and later settling in Albion, WA in 2013. Larry went to work at Washington State University in the plant maintenance department. He was devoted to his family and always enjoyed the time they were together. He is survived by his wife Mary at the family home in Albion; 3 daughters Terena Dea; Stacey (Michael) Pack; Kimberly Smyth; his son Dion Torrence; his mother Ethel Torrence; two brothers Gary & Ron Torrence; his grandchildren Chelsey, T.J., Natalie, Kaitlin, Noah, Dion (JR), Jessaline, Jepediah, London & Michael Max and 4 great grandchildren.
