Laura Jane Bellingar, Colfax resident and former long-time Bellingham, WA resident, passed away Thursday morning, October 25, 2012 at her home. She was 73. A graveside service will be in the Onecho Cemetery, Friday, November 2nd; at 2:00 PM. Pastor Mike Nyholm of the Onecho Bible Church will officiate. Laura was born June 19, 1939 in Bellingham, Washington to Daniel and Senya MacKenzie. She graduated from the Meridian High School there in 1957. She attended a business course for a few months and was employed at an area doctor's office. Laura married Ralph Bellingar, whom she'd met in junior high, December 14, 1957. They made their home in Bellingham. Once their children started arriving, Laura kept busy as a wife and mother. She followed her children in all their activities including as a den mother for cub scouts and in Eastern Star for the rainbow girls. She and Ralph also enjoyed square dancing. They operated a 57 acre ranch near Bellingham and raised cattle and horses. Laura could often be seen driving the tractor or helping with haying. She loved sewing and was an accomplished seamstress. She and Ralph moved to Colfax about 13 years ago to be closer to their daughter. He passed away in 2003. While here she attended the Onecho Bible Church, met many friends and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her three children; Ralph & Janice Bellingar of Auburn, WA, Mark & Diana Bellingar of Custer, WA, and Tracy & John Rossiter of Colfax as well as 4 grandchildren; Kody & Bryan Bellingar and Kelsey & Daniel Kuhlman and 1 great-grandchild; Caiden Kuhlman.
