Laverne Joyce Despain, 86, of Endicott passed away December 8, 2013 at the Courtyard in Colfax. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday December 31, 2013 at Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax. Private family burial will be held at the Endicott Cemetery. Laverne was born in Endicott, Washington on June 24, 1927 to Peter & Elizabeth (Fox) Scheuerman. She attended local schools and earned her high school diploma. She met Richard Despain and the couple married in Lewiston, Idaho on January 24, 1946. She was an avid homemaker and enjoyed embroidery and enjoyed playing pinochle with her friends. She is survived by her daughters Charmaine Despain of Endicott; Georgia (Dave) Wells of Rindge, New Hampshire and Barbara (Mike) Despain-Odlaug of Bellevue, Washington as well as her sister Darlene Byers, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
