Obituary

Liselotte "Lilo" Dumin, 87, of Pullman, died November 27, 2013 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's. Her deep and abiding faith and the love of family and friends carried her peacefully home. Lilo and Fred Dumin moved to Pullman in 1961. Her husband Fred taught in the WSU History Department until his death in 1990. Both were active in the community. Lilo worked with the local organization "Friends of the Heart" to place the first benches throughout Pullman, encouraging and supporting people's efforts to walk for health. She is survived by a daughter, Beatrice Dumin of San Francisco, CA. A private graveside service will be held at the Pullman Cemetery. The family suggests memorial gifts be made to the Frederick Dumin Memorial Scholarship for Excellence in the Teaching of History through WSU Foundation.
