Lorraine had met Curtis White while he was working on the farm for her father. The couple married one month after Lorraine's high school graduation, July 9, 1955 in Sprague, WA. They lived and worked on the family farm at Lamont. Their first child, daughter Denise, was born about a year later and Lorraine relished in her role as homemaker and mother. They also found time to belong to the Cattlemen's Associations and the Lamont Grange. Once the kids reached high school Lorraine began working in the kitchen at the St. John school. She was an avid gardener and faithfully each spring she planted over 1200 flowers in her yard that she had started from seed. She also liked to crochet and even designed and sold some of her own patterns. Her original designs were prominently featured on the covers of McCall's and Woman's World magazines as well as others for her talent. She loved working puzzles, especially Thomas Kinkade ones, and she would glue the finished works and proudly display them on her walls. She was a member of the Christian Life Assembly in St. John and a past member of Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Curtis, in St. John; three children; Denise Flores of Lacey, WA, Gil White of Lamont and David White of St. John; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
