Obituary

Lorraine Marie (VanTighem) Zehm, 74 of Spangle WA passed away September 2, 2017 after a battle with cancer. Lorraine was born January 9, 1943 to Alfonse and Rose (McArthur) VanTighem in Great Falls, MT. She had one brother, Eddie VanTighem. She graduated from Great Falls High School in 1961 and shortly after started working at the local Grain Elevator as a bookkeeper. It is there that she met Larry her husband of 53 years. She was a devoted wife who never left his side during his long illness that he succumbed to this past March. Together with her husband Larry, she raised her family in many states including; Minnesota and Utah and eventually settled in Spangle, WA. Lorraine's hobbies included sewing, quilting, crocheting, knitting and ceramic painting, all of which she was very accomplished in. Her family will treasure for years to come the many homemade heirlooms she gifted to them. She enjoyed watching all types of sporting events, especially the ones involving her grandkids. She is survived by her four children, Cindy (Arlin) Paulson of Rosalia WA, Karla (Brian) Kaiser of Rochester WA, Laurie (Devin) Saylor of Lake Stevens WA and Randy (Maeleen) Zehm of Palouse WA and 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She will be laid to rest at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake, WA with a private family service. . Donations may be made to the Washington State Veterans Cemetery, 21702 W Espanola Rd, Medical Lake, WA 99022. Kimball Funeral Home of Pullman WA has been entrusted with arrangements.
