Obituary

LUCILLE HELEN LILES, 93, of St. John, WA, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012 at home. Lucille was born on April 16, 1919, in Whitefish, Montana to Alfred & Atha (Bogar) Harding. She grew up and attended school in Kalispell and following her high school graduation she attended beauty college. Lucille married Glenn G. Liles in Butler, Missouri, where they made their home. During the war while Glenn served in the Air Force, Lucille moved to Kansas City where she worked as a beautician. Following the war they moved back to Butler, MO where she owned and operated a beauty shop. They moved back to Kansas City where they made their home and raised their family of two girls. Together Glenn & Lucille built a lake cabin from scratch and much of their lives was spent at their cabin in the Ozarks. Lucille and Glenn spent winters as snowbirds traveling in their motorhome and staying in Northern California. Their love for family, joy of fishing and traveling by motorhome was their life. Following Glenn's death, Lucille relocated to St. John, WA in the summer of 2010 to live with her daughter Linda. She is survived by her two daughters Linda Shawgo of St. John and Jody Cutting of Apple Valley, MN; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2010, sister Myrtle and her brothers Vernon & Lionel. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012 from 9 AM to 11:30 AM at Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax, WA. A graveside service will follow at 1 PM at the St. John Cemetery.
