Lyle R. Weitz, Colfax resident, passed away Tuesday, June 04, 2019 at the Whitman Hospital in Colfax. He was 67. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, June 15 ^th , at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Bruning Funeral Home. Lyle was born January 22, 1952 in Colfax to Donald and Georgia Mast Weitz. He lived in Colfax most of his life and worked for many years on the Whitman County road crew and later for the Washington State Highway Department. He loved the outdoors. He especially liked hunting, fishing and going for early morning walks. Lyle was married and later divorced with no children. When he wasn't busy working around his home he liked to go to gun shows or do gun-trading. He is survived by his three siblings; Donnie Weitz, Tacoma, Sheila Weitz of St. John, and Philip Weitz, Umatilla, Oregon, as well as several nieces and nephews.
