Margaret Ruth Smith was born in her home near St. John Wa on February 5th 1924. She passed away in Colfax on September 2, 2015. She graduated from St. John High School in 1942. Margaret was married to Floyd James "Pete" Smith on November 14 1942 and they made their home on their farm near Rock Lake. Marge loved fishing and boating on Rock Lake and being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Marge was preceded in death by her husband Pete Smith, her sisters Dora, June, and Hazel, and her brother Bud Wagner. She is survived by her brother Fred Wagner, her children Ken Smith, Linda Burke, her grandchildren Jason Burke, Laurie Overton, and John Smith and her great grandchildren Alex and Nikki Overton, Tyler Smith, Eamon Donnelly, and Fox Burke and many, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Donations in Marge's name can be made to Higher Ground Animal Sanctuary in Spokane. Bruning Funeral Home of Colfax has been entrusted with arrangements.+
