Margery M. Stoner, long time Sandpoint area resident, passed away July 23, 2012 at the Whitman Health & Rehabilitation Center in Colfax, WA. She was born November 21, 1923 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Roy and Maselle (Spraker) McClure. She graduated from the Arco (Idaho) High School in 1941. Margery married Gerald F. Miller in October 1940 and they were later divorced. She moved to Vay, Idaho in 1949. She married Frank L. Stoner November 21, 1950 in Sandpoint. Margery was active in the Edgemere Grange #55 and the Bonner County Pamona Grange, a member of the Vay Community Club. She was a 4-H leader for the Hoodoo Hustlers, active with the Bonner County Fair and served on the County Election Board. Margery moved to Palouse, Washington in 1988 to be closer to family. She enjoyed participating in the Bess Mechling Club while living on the Palouse. She is survived by her daughters Mava (David) Gordon of Steptoe, WA, Millie (Gordon) Hill of Palouse, daughter-in-law, Vonnie Bristow and her grandchildren Donnie (Julie) & Todd Miller, Scott Rickman, Christine (Max) Benson, Susan (Tony) Wofford, Jay (Lynnette) Goodson, Eugene (Nicole) Spaulding, Becky (Chris) Landis and Kevin (Kimberly) Hill; 23 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Also surviving Margery are sister-in-law Margie McClure of Meridian, Idaho and niece Cheryl Eller and nephew Dennis McClure both of Boise, Idaho. Margery was preceded in death by her husband Frank, a son Ronnie Miller, her brother Dorsel McClure and her parents. A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 28th at 11:00 AM in the Seneacquoteen Cemetery near Priest River, Idaho.
