"They say:
To care for someone who gave you life but didn't give you a childhood is the quietest, most profound form of grace. Sometimes we care for people not because of who they are to us, but because of who we CHOOSE to be or be like. And an ending with that person doesn't require a perfect beginning or middle! Comforting the woman that gave me life, all the while quietly holding space for the child inside me who grew up without her and always wondered: "Why?" Sometimes showing up at the finish line is how we heal our own wounds and I finally understood the "why" and want to tell you I forgive you.
I want to thank you for giving me life, and for making the hard decision to put me up for adoption. I was blessed to have been adopted by the most amazing, loving and best parents I could have ever been so lucky to have had in my life, and also my children and grandchildren's life's too. I will say that I'm thankful for the past 3 years of caregiving for you and having the laughs and moments of making memories with you and trying to make sure I gave you the best end of life....everyone deserves that!
R.I.P and fly high
I love and miss you and will eternally be grateful."
