Martin J. Furney, 66, of Colton, WA died on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016 at Pullman Regional Hospital. Martin was born Sept. 12, 1949 in Minneapolis, MN to James & Eileen (Furlong) Furney. He grew up and received his education in the Minneapolis area until the family moved to the Seattle, WA area in 1962 where Martin completed his schooling. He worked as a truck driver all of his life from delivery to long-haul. Martin married Joy Riesdorf in 1978 and they later divorced. Martin was a member of the teamsters union and loved driving his big rig. His interests also included his motorcycles and old classic cars. Martin enjoyed fast cars and fast women. He is survived by his daughter Jyl Furney and his son Nathan Furney both of Seattle; his sister Mary Sickles of Colton, WA and a brother Michael Furney. Martin was preceded in death by his parents. No public services will be held. Kimball Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
