Obituary

Mary Jeanette (Ebert) Beloit, 92 of Moscow, Idaho passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025. Jeanette was born to Harold and Stella Ebert on March 30, 1933, in Mott, North Dakota. At the age of three, her family moved from ND to Clarkston, WA. Jeanette graduated from Clarkston High School in 1952 and soon after graduation she married her high school sweetheart, Howard Beloit. This past June would have been their 73rd anniversary.

Jeanette and Howard had two children, Patty and Rick. They moved from Clarkston to Moscow in 1959 where Howard worked. In 1964 they became co-owners of Ken's Stationery until Howard's retirement in 1993. Jeanette and Howard enjoyed traveling throughout the country in an RV and eventually settled in Yuma, Arizona to spend their winters. Many friends were made during their time in Yuma and happy hours at their home in the afternoons were a highlight. Happy hour or "wine thirty" was brought back to Moscow when they gave up their winters in Yuma.

Jeanette was very active in the Moscow First Presbyterian Church and served on many committees for the church. She was also a member of the P.E.O. Chapter BH in Moscow as well for 50 years. As a grandma and great grandma, she's remembered for her love of baking cookies with the grandchildren and playing card games.

For the past two and a half years, Jeanette has been a cherished resident at Hill House, a compassionate memory care home that offered her a loving and nurturing environment during her final years. Hill House provided a safe and warm sanctuary, where caring and loving caregivers took exceptional care of Jeanette, treating her as their own. The family is eternally grateful to the dedicated staff of Hill House for their unwavering commitment to Jeanette's well-being.

Jeanette is survived by her children, Patty (John) Snyder, Rick (Terri) Beloit; her grandchildren: Josh Beloit, Lindsay Wernecke, Jessalyn Perry and Matt Snyder; and her great grandchildren: Jayden, Abigail, Emma, Karleigh, Harper, Lilly, Aubrey, Addie and Cole. She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard; her parents Harold and Stella and her siblings: Jeannine, Joanne, and Jack.

A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, November 29, 2025. We will provide more details as they become available.

If you would like to make a donation in her memory, the family requests donations be made to Hill House Memory Care, 632 N. Mountain View Road, Moscow, Idaho 83843. Corbeill Funeral Homes in Pullman is caring for the family. On-line condolences may be made at www.corbeillfuneralhomes.com
