Mary Ann was born October 19, 1924 in Colfax to Tom and Zelda (Rainville) Danaher. She grew up on a farm in the Shawnee area and attended the Hulin school as a little girl. She graduated from Colfax High School. Mary Ann worked for the telephone company for a few years and after obtaining her Certified Nurses Training she worked for the Bryant & Weismann Clinic (now Paul's Place) in Colfax. She and her sister Pat moved to Spokane where she worked for over 39 years as a CNA for St. Luke's Hospital and St. Joseph's Care Center. They moved back to Colfax in 1982 after their father had passed away and helped take care of their mother. Mary Ann worked at the Colfax Hospital for a few years before retiring in 1985 and moving back out to the Danaher ranch. She lived there until about a year ago when she moved into assisted living in Colfax. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. She liked reading, watching TV or talking on the phone with her many friends. She also enjoyed following her great-nephews in many of their activities as they grew up. She enjoyed cleaning and vacuuming and knew how to really make a bed.
