MaryLee Tenwick, 75, of Pullman, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at her home after a brief illness. MaryLee was born March 5, 1941 in Colville, WA. The family moved to Pullman where she grew up and graduated from Pullman High School. MaryLee married Bruce Tenwick in 1960 and the couple made their home in Pullman for 51 years. She worked at the Washington Hotel for a short time until she began her 32 year career with Washington State University. Following her retirement from WSU, MaryLee ran a successful Bed & Breakfast for 15 years. MaryLee enjoyed cooking, her well-loved cats, gardening, and traveling extensively around the world with Bruce. MaryLee was a member of the Pullman Moose Lodge. She enjoyed spending time with her three children and their families; daughter Marcy (Jack) Horne of Wenatchee, daughter Kristy (Steve) Szablya of Bellevue, and son Mike (Cammie) Tenwick of Clarkston, 11 grandchildren; David, Ryan, Shelley and Tricia (Horne), Maria and Adam (Szablya), LaKrysa, Angelina, Mychael, Coleton, and Kerington (Tenwick), and 5 great grandchildren; Teriney and Aria (McKarcher), Jordie, Aron, and Hannah (James). Mary Lee was preceded in death by a son, Donald Bruce Tenwick, Jr.; her parents; Albert and Norma Riesen, two brothers, and a granddaughter; Stephanie Horne. An open house to celebrate MaryLee's life will be held at the family home on Saturday, May 14 from Noon-4 pm. Memorial donations are suggested to The Pullman Human Society.
