The family of Michael Adam Assenberg is deeply saddened to announce his passing on May 26th, 2026. Born on March 5th, 1960 in California, his 60 years were spent full of adventure and activism, touching the hearts of those around him through his humor, love, and sheer tenacity. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Carla; his children, Skyler and Christina; his sister Heather; and his cherished friends. After a lifetime of challenging authority when he believed it was wrong, he leaves behind family, friends, and at least one county sheriff who can finally rest a little easier.
