Miriam F. Schoepflin of Farmington passed away December 4, 2013 in Pullman. She was 91. She was born October 10, 1922 in Farmington, the youngest of four children, to Jacob and Mary (Meier) Wagner. She grew up on the family farm and attended grade school at the Silver Creek School. Miriam graduated as Valedictorian of her class from Farmington High School in 1940. She married Albert Schoepflin November 19, 1941, the love of her life from age 15. They spent their life farming around Farmington. Miriam was very involved in making sure any family in need had a quilt to keep warm with or any other food or necessity they may need. She spent many years making quilts too numerous to even count. She loved flowers and spending time in her garden. She made sure the church had fresh flowers every Saturday. She also liked to do canning, especially pickles. Miriam is survived by her two sons; Bill & Linda Schoepflin of Farmington and David & Diane Schoepflin of Scottsdale, AZ; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, in 2008 and by her sister, Leona Schwartz and brothers Paul and Palmer Wagner. Memorial gifts are suggested to the Farmington SDA Church. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, December 11th at 11:00 AM at the Farmington SDA Church with burial to follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Farmington.
