Morris D. Camp, 72, a lifelong LaCrosse, WA resident, died Dec. 19, 2016 at his LaCrosse home. The memorial service will be held at the LaCrosse United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 14 at 11:00 a.m. Morris was born May 18, 1944 in Spokane, WA to Donald & Nona (Duncan) Camp. The family moved to LaCrosse where Morris grew up and attended school. He graduated from LaCrosse High School in 1962 and attended Columbia Basin College from which he received his associate degree in mechanics. Morris entered the US Air Force and served during the Vietnam War. Following his honorable discharge as Sargent Morris returned to LaCrosse and married Linda Martin in 1970. Together they had three children and later divorced, but remained close friends throughout the years. Morris farmed throughout his life on the family farm south of LaCrosse and following his retirement drove truck for Jasper Trucking Company for several years. Morris was a member of the United Methodist Church and longtime firefighter with the LaCrosse Volunteer Fire Department for 30 years. He enjoyed bowling and playing golf. Morris is survived by his daughters Melinda Beazer and Cathryn Camp both of Spokane Valley, WA; his brother Merrill (Gloria) Camp of Walla Walla, WA; two granddaughter's Sierra & Cheyenne Jochec.
