NANCY LORRAINE BOONE, 86, of Pullman, passed away May 27, 2015 at Pullman Regional Hospital. Nancy was born Jan. 19, 1929 to Arvid and Lilly (Bergsten) Swanson in Chinook, WA. When Nancy was a young girl, the family moved to Aberdeen, WA where she grew up and attended school. Following her high school graduation, Nancy attended Gray's Harbor College for a time before coming to Pullman to attend Washington State College in 1947. She met Daniel Boone, and they married on July 9, 1949 in Aberdeen. Nancy and Dan have made the Boone family farm their home since that time. Nancy worked for a while at WSU, as well as the old Montgomery Ward Store and Myklebust in downtown Pullman. Her life was spent raising her family and assisting with the farm through the years. She was a loving homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and a true friend to all. Nancy's family was of great importance to her throughout her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She was a wonderful cook and loved sewing and painting. She was a woman of great faith and was an active member of the Moscow Bible Church. Nancy lived her faith and was always involved in the life of the church. She was a member of the Johnson Grange, Gideons International Auxiliary, as well as the Union Flat Community Club. Nancy is survived by her husband, Dan, of nearly 66 years, her children: Linda Marshall, Mike (Dede), Gary, Jim (Dalene), Ron (Roxy), and Marsha (Dale) Druffel, her 10 grandchildren: James, Megan, Karee, Brady, Christa, Peyton, Savanah, Kasey, Sammie, and Chase, her 7 great grandchildren: Ryan, Ava, Daisy, Wiley, Mirabel, Cade, and Tucker. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and two sisters. Private family graveside services will be held at the Pullman Cemetery. Kimball Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for the family. Memorial donations are suggested to the Gideons International or to the Pullman Regional Hospital Foundation.
