Obituary

Neil James Meyer, 92, passed away peacefully on Nov 12th.   Neil was born on May 7, 1933 to Vince and Helen Meyer in Colton, WA.

After graduation from Colton High School, Neil enlisted in the Army, of which he was extremely proud of his time in the service where he achieved the rank of Corporal.  Upon discharge, he returned to work on the family farm, which he eventually owned and operated.

In October 1955 he married Darlene Welter (deceased) and they eventually had 7 children, which all survive him:  Bonnie, Phil, Cindy, Lorie, Cheryl, Donna and Marv, along with 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.   He is also survived by his wife, Marjorie Meyer and five of his nine siblings: Bev, Dan, Joan, Dave, and Lynn.

The family would like to send a special thanks and recognition to Elizabeth and the entire staff of Robville Adult Family Home in Pullman.  Their love and care for Neil, and all their residents, is truly amazing and will always be remembered.  We also would like to recognize the hospice caregivers who guide families and patients through those final days with grace, caring and understanding.

There will be a private service held for Neil at Corbeill Funeral Home, Pullman, WA.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any Alzheimer's/Dementia or Hospice organization of your choice.

Neil was a force of nature, determined to live life to the fullest – definitely a "cup half full" guy. That unwavering zest for life and belief in the positive will be a reminder to many that life is a precious gift meant to be lived with passion, purpose and a deep appreciation of the world and those we hold dear in our hearts.
