Oliver Eugene Parent, 18 was born on a sunny evening August 8, 2000 in Lewiston, Idaho and departed to a better place, June, 10, 2019 at his Pullman home leaving a hole in our hearts time will never completely heal. Oliver was unique from the beginning. He was a joyful, extremely intelligent child, reading by age two.  Oliver attended pre-school at Kingdom Kids in Clarkston, WA and First Grade at St. Stanislaus Tri-Parish School in Lewiston. In 2009 Oliver and his family moved to Pullman, Washington where he attended Jefferson Elementary, Lincoln Middle School and most recently graduated from Pullman High School on June 8, 2019.

Oliver was worldly intelligent and an experimenter from the earliest age. His soul was overloaded with compassion. He could be a ham actor or a self-directed businessman. He really enjoyed taking embarrassing "Snaps" of his sister and reluctantly tasted her baked goods. He tried all sorts of sports even though he didn't end up liking any of them, and had a hidden talent, playing the piano.

If you were blessed by one of Oliver's hugs, you know they were the best. His iconic smirk will always be remembered as well as him cruising around Pullman on his Tao Tao moped.

At home he was the best brother a younger sister could ever hope for. His vast knowledge of the world proved useful during weekly trivia games but also when his sister, Elsa had incessant questions on String Theory. His mother loved him fiercely, his father enjoyed spirited debates with him. Oliver and his older brother, Zoel, had their struggles, but deep down truly loved each other.

Oliver is survived by his mother, Deborah; father, Michael; sister, Elsa; older brother, Zoel; and his Nana. He is preceded in death by his Mimi, Grandpa Buck and his Papa Frank.

The memorial service will be held on Monday, June 17, 2019 at 4 PM at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1300 SE Sunnymead Way in Pullman, WA.  Oliver will be laid to rest with his grandparents at the Normal Hill Cemetery in Lewiston, ID.  Kimball Funeral Home of Pullman, WA has been entrusted with arrangements.
