Obituary

Patricia Nelson, 90, of Pullman, WA passed away on October 12, 2024. Pat was born May 9, 1934, in Ash Flat, Arkansas to Dallas and Margie (Neely) Hall. She grew up in Wenatchee, WA where she attended school and graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1952. Following her graduation Pat attended Wenatchee Valley College.  On September 8, 1956, she married Jack Nelson in Ohme Gardens in Wenatchee, and they moved to Pullman, WA shortly after.

Pat had the pleasure of working for the Pullman School District as the secretary at Jefferson School for 25 years. During her career she touched the lives of thousands of children. She cared for them as though they were her own, bandaging skinned knees, removing gum from their hair, or offering encouraging words.  She served the staff and administration with the same unselfish, kind, and caring attitude.

Following retirement, Pat and Jack loved to travel in their RV with lifelong friends, spending winters in Mesquite, NV.  Pat enjoyed gardening, crafting, camping, fishing and spending time with friends and neighbors.  She had a deep and abiding love for her family that brought her great joy.  Pat was a gracious host, and she made holidays and birthday celebrations beautiful.  Pat is survived by her husband Jack at the family home in Pullman; two daughters Judy Else of Bellingham, WA and Denise (Keith) McIvor of Moscow, ID; her sister Carol Johnson; her grandchildren Kara (Jordan) Smith of Moscow; Jenny (Jay) Brossman of Santa Clara, CA; K.C. (Jennifer) McIvor of Spokane; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Neil and Kenard Hall and sister Sharon Granger.  The family offers a heartfelt thank you to the caregivers at Considerate Care in Pullman for their loving care of Pat. The memorial service will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 11AM at Corbeill Funeral Home in Pullman, WA. A reception will follow at the Ridge Pointe Community Club House in Pullman. Pat will be laid to rest at the Pullman Cemetery. Corbeill Funeral Home of Pullman, WA has been entrusted with arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to www.corbeillfuneralhomes.com.
