Obituary

Paul Allen Anderson was born on December 31, 1956, at St. Ignatius Hospital in Colfax, Washington, to Allen A. and Dorothy (Stong) Anderson. The oldest of three children, he graduated from Colfax High School in 1975.

Shortly after graduation, Paul married his high school sweetheart, Pam Byrne. Their daughter, Jamie, was born in 1976, and they later divorced. On September 1, 1979, Paul married Margie McPherson, the love of his life. Their son, Jake, was born in 1984.

Paul loved the great outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and mushroom hunting. He was also known as someone who would eat just about anything—including bugs. He enjoyed teaching kids how to skin and bone out a deer, sharing his skills and love of the outdoors.

At age 18, Paul began serving his community as a volunteer firefighter and EMT, a commitment he continued for 19 years. He also began working at Rima’s Building Supply at 18 and eventually became the owner. Later, he worked for the county as a maintenance supervisor until his retirement.

Paul died on October 21, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Dorothy Anderson.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Margie; his sisters, Trina (Dan) Anderson and Tanya Anderson; his children, Jamie (Randy) Lindbo, Sarah (Mike) Emerson, and Jake (Megan) Anderson; and his beloved grandchildren, Kevin, Ryder, Levi, Sage, Adelle, Cole, Britta, and Bo.

A celebration of his life will be on Friday, November 6, 2026 from 4:00-6:00 PM at the Colfax Golf Course.
