PAUL JAMES BENNETT, 85, of Albion, WA went home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 3, 2014 at his Albion home. Paul was born June 10, 1929 in Salem, OR to James T. & Barbara (Gallaher) Bennett. He grew up in Salem, Prosser, Snoqualmie and Spokane, WA where he graduated from North Central High School in 1947 and later from Whitworth College in 1954. Paul served in the US Air Force during the Korean War Era and was honorably discharged from service in 1952. He married Mary Morgan on Sept. 7, 1957 in Pullman. They would have celebrated 57 years of marriage this past Sunday. They lived in Pullman for a while until moving to Albion, WA where they have made their home since that time. Paul spent his career at Washington State University, first as a lab technician and then working for the campus environmental services office. He retired in 1992 following 38 years of dedicated service. Paul was a loving husband and devoted father & grandfather who always enjoyed time with family. He was a member of the Pullman Foursquare Church. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Mary of Albion; two daughters Rachelle Bennett & husband Roy Dillahunt of Pullman; Marlene Bennett of Pullman; his son David Bennett and wife Dolores of Post Falls, ID; a sister Edith Foedish of Spokane, WA and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son Kenneth Paul Bennett and a brother George Bennett. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014 at 1 PM at the Albion Community Church. A private graveside service will be held later at the Pullman Cemetery.
