Rebecca (Becky) Ann Staves, 56, passed away on September 18, 2024 at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d'Alene. She was born on January 19, 1968 in Goldendale, Washington. She grew up in Goldendale where she was adopted by Arthur and Nadeanne (Ray) Anderson. Following graduation, she moved to Colfax and then to Endicott. She married JR Staves and together they moved to Spokane. They welcomed three children; Brittany, Adam and Ian. They later divorced and she moved back to Endicott where she spent the majority of her last 30 years. She loved to garden and have a bonfire. Rebecca met her partner, Tom Martin in 2010 and they have been together since. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and attend the boat races with Tom. She was a caring mother and had an outgoing personality that was fun to be around. She is survived by her three children; Brittany (Lukus) Mattoon of Lewiston, ID, Adam and Ian Staves both of Colfax, WA; two grandsons, Bently and Marshall; and by 4 brothers and a sister. She was preceded in death by a sister and her parents. A funeral service for Rebecca will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Colfax.
