Rebecca Lynn (Akre) Phillips (55)
On Nov. 22, 2014 our beloved Becky succumbed to cancer and passed quietly in her sleep. She was born July 13, 1959 to Roger and Edith Akre of Grand Rapids, Minnesota. She lived in Costa Rica and Panama for a short time as a small child and her family later settled in Pullman where she grew up.
Becky is survived by her husband, Jim Phillips and daughters, Kimberly and Michelle Phillips. She is also survived by her mother, Edith Akre, her sister Tammy (Neal) Wallen, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Roger Akre.
Becky worked for over ten years at Good Samaritan Village in Moscow, Idaho and then went on to work at the Whitman Rehabilitation Center in Colfax until just recently.
We will remember Becky for her goofy sense of humor, her love of animals, gardening and the outdoors, camping and antiquing. She was a loving mother, wife, sister and daughter and she will be missed with all our hearts.
No public services are being planned. The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society or to the Sacred Heart Medical Center's Oncology Dept., in Spokane, WA. Kimball Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for the family.
