Richard Lee Nervig, passed away on September 28th, 2016 at the age of 84. He died at home on the farm where he was born and raised, with his hat on his head and his dog by his side.
Richard was a lifelong wheat farmer, which was his passion and career. Richard also was a rock hound who enjoyed making jewelry from the rocks he found.
Richard loved all animals, especially his dogs. He enjoyed hunting with friends in the Blue Mountains.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Ruth Nervig and his sister Ann Nervig Bell.
He is survived by family Bruce & Joyce Bell (Hay), niece Jan Turney (Hay), niece Lisa Nichols (Seattle), niece Karla Bell (Lynnwood), nephew Grant Bell (Everson) and their families.
He will also be greatly missed by his friends that are not limited to Skeeter McIntosh, Dennis Moore, Robert Ingraham, and Scott Filan and many more.
The family would like to express gratitude to June Bailey and Peggy Zaring, who were so helpful to Richard in his last years.
