It is with deep sadness in my heart that I write this obituary.
Richard "Ricky" Stephens was born February 1st, 1971 at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, WA. He passed away 10/29/2025 at his home in Pullman, WA.
He lived in Pullman, WA from the time he was born until 1977 when his family moved to Albion, WA. He loved living there and all of the freedoms he enjoyed, hanging out with his friends, riding bikes, climbing trees and lots of adventures I probably don't know about. He attended school in Pullman, WA, riding the school bus back and forth. He attended Jefferson Elementary School, Lincoln Middle School and Pullman High School.
He attended Spokane Falls Community College, where he received his AA degree in audio visual.
On August 17, 1993, he married the love of his life, Tammy Geib at our home in Albion, WA. They had one son, Adrian Kent Stephens. They were later divorced.
His working career took him to the Seattle area, where he worked for a number of different companies as a project manager installing audio/visual equipment.
In 2013, he returned to Pullman, WA and began working for Schweitzer Engineering, until 2016. He worked various jobs in the Pullman, WA area.
Ricky is preceded in death by his father, Richard Kent Stephens. He is survived by his mother, Marlene R Stephens of Albion, WA, his son, Adrian Kent Stephens of Spokane, WA and his sister, Jennifer L (Kevin) Thirsk of Colorado Springs, Co. Aunts Kimberly Wyatt (of West Virginia), Leslee (Harry) Edison of Coeur D Alene, Id, Cheryl (Gary) Ellenberger of Orting, WA and Uncle Dale Cody of Auburn, WA; nephews Luke Thirsk (Destinee Vasquez) of Colorado Springs, Noah Thirsk, Active-Duty United States Marine Corp, and one niece, Chelsea Thirsk of Bend, OR and great nephew Elias Thirsk of Colorado Springs, and many cousins and close friends.
A graveside service will be held at the Albion, WA cemetery in the summer of 2026. Corbeill Funeral Home, Pullman, WA has been entrusted with arrangements.
