Robert F. Druffel, 77 a lifelong Colton, WA resident, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at St.Joseph's Medical Center in Lewiston, Idaho. Robert was born January 13, 1937 in Colton to Victor & Monica (Meyer) Druffel. He grew up and attended school in Colton, graduating from Colton High School in 1955. Robert enlisted in the US Army and served in Germany until his honorable discharge. He returned to Colton and married Monica Reisenauer on Sept. 13, 1958 in Odessa, WA. They made Colton their home where Robert spent his life farming and spent 40 years working at the Uniontown, WA McGregor Co. plant as its manager. Robert's life revolved around farming and his family. He especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow up. He was a member of St. Gall Catholic Church and was a 59 year member of the Knights of Columbus. Robert is survived by his wife Monica at their home; his children Dale Druffel (Marsha) of Colton; Vicki Guerry (Mike) of Castleford, ID; Tony Druffel (Mike Hawthorne) of Phoenix, AZ; Nick Druffel (Lonnie) of Colton; two sisters Norma (Ted) Bailey; Dianne (Jim) Sather; three brothers Tom (Linda) Druffel; Steve (Sandi) Druffel; Art (Roi) Druffel; 10 grandchildren Kasey Wolf, Samantha Druffel, Josie Peterson, Chase Druffel, Holdan Druffel, Jordan Druffel, Jacob Peterson, Kendyl Druffel, Stephanie Hudson and Angie Durham and 4 great grandchildren Cade, Lola, Gus & Izzy. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Vicki and a son-in-law Hal Peterson. The Rosary will be recited on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at 7:00 pm at St. Gall Catholic Church in Colton, WA. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday April 14, 2014 at 10:00 am with concluding services and Military Honors following at St. Gall Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Robert's honor are suggested to the St. Gall endowment fund, District 14 EMT or to a charity of your choice.
