Obituary

On August 3, 2015, Our beloved Husband and Father, Robert S. Marshall, 72, was welcomed into heaven by his Savior as well as his Dad, Mom and many other loved family members who are celebrating his home going.
His gentle spirit and kindness left this world a better place. He made friends wherever he went and leaves a legacy of kindness in many places.
He leaves behind only for a short while until reunited in Heaven one day, his wife, Carey L. Marshall, Washtucna,WA, his daughter, Anne Marshall, Boise, ID, his son, Shawn Marshall, Pasco, WA, and his Foster daughter, Chrystal Stewart. He was a role model and loved his grandchildren dearly. Grandsons: Garrett Marshall, Wesley Taylor, Conner Baumgartner and his only granddaughter, Sheyenne Marshall and Great Grandson, Silas Marshall. as well as foster Grandchildren, Micah Stewart and Ashiah Stewart.
He was an active man up to the day he died. He has participated in many fun runs, marathons, volksmarches and bicycle adventures. He could often be seen riding his bike around the area as well as to and from work.
He loved to drive, semi trucks, tractors, busses. If it had wheels and a motor he could drive it.
Born in San Francisco, CA April 3, 1943, to DeWitt T. Marshall and Rosa Jane Marshall, he resided with his parents until his Father's death in 1951, at which time he and his mother moved to Colfax, WA. There she supported them as a nurse at St. Ignatius Hosp, and Bob resided on his Uncle Franks farm. He attended grade school at Almota grade school, and then Graduated from Colfax High School in 1962, with honors. He graduated from WSU in 1971 with a B.A. in Education. He married, Carey Lou Wesseler on July 1, 1962 and adopted his daughter in 1969 and his son in 1971 where he resided for a time. He enlisted in the Army in 1975, and served 3 years the last of which was in Germany. In 1978, he enlisted in the Air National Guard from which he retired after 20 years of service as a Master Sargent. His goal in life was to leave a lasting testimony of the Grace of God and the power of Salvation.
He was most certainly defined as a God, Country and Family man.
He participated in a number habitat for humanity builds, supported children through World Vision, and the education of Indian Children through St. Labri Indian School in Ashland, MT.
