Robert D. Wood, 68, of Albion, Washington, passed away June 8, 2020 in Spokane. He was born January 17, 1952 in Tremonton, Utah to Reed and Elva Davis Wood. Robert served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era as an aircraft mechanic. He married Wendy Hatch and they lived in Northern Utah before moving to Albion. Robert was trained and worked as a dental technician and later as a long haul truck driver. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was an avid gun collector and shooter, a Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast and he really enjoyed relaxing with family and friends around the bar-b-q or playing a game of horseshoes. He is survived by his wife, Wendy, and two daughters, Jessi James (Clay) of Logan, Utah and Erin Smith (Clay) of Lehi, Utah; 7 grandchildren, Tate, Dillon, Seth, Eli, Cora, Scarlett, and Iris; and his siblings, Steve Wood, Bette Buckner, Julie Miller and Doug Wood as well as his brother-in-law, Clark Hatch. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister, Kathy West. A memorial gathering was held in Albion on June 12 th . Kimball Funeral Home of Pullman is caring for the family.
