Roger Glen Nilson, 86, of Colton, WA passed away November 3, 2023 at his Colton home.  Roger was born February 25, 1937 in Troy, ID to Boyer & Wilma (Peterson) Nilson.  He grew up on the family farm in Troy, graduating from Troy High School.  Following graduation Roger served in the US Navy and after his honorable discharge returned to Troy.  Roger went to work for Skelton Floor Covering in Lewiston and it was during this time he met Linda Rosenberg.  They married in 1959 and made their home in Moscow, ID, Albion, WA and later Pullman.  They later would divorce.  Roger began his career at Washington State University where he continued as a floor installer.  It was at WSU that Roger met Carol Bowmer who he married in 1974.  Together they made their home in Pullman, later moving to Colton, WA in 1986.  Following a lengthy career at WSU, Roger retired in 1997.  He loved fishing and their lake place.  Roger always enjoyed spending time with Carol and the family at the lake.  He enjoyed bowling, basketball and football.  Roger was a Cougar fan through the years as well.  He is survived by his three sons Brad (Pam) of Colton; Chris (Ramona) of Viola; Mike (Carolyn Lusby) of Pullman; his daughters Ann Hanson of Bandon, OR and Natalie Drake of Spokane, WA; stepchildren Nancy (Gordon) Lamb, Sherry (Richard) Krogh, and Penny Floyd; two sisters Inez Flisher and Joan Adams, 17 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.  Roger was preceded in death by his wife Carol in 2012, his parents Boyer and Wilma Nilson, brothers Jerry, Gene, and Richard Nilson, and sister Shirley Payne.  The graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Pullman's IOOF Cemetery at 2:00 PM.  Corbeill Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
