Ronald James Merry, 65, native resident of Pullman, passed away on August 17, 2015 at Hospice House in Spokane. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday October 3, 2015 at Bishop Place in Pullman. Ron's ashes will be laid to rest in the Miller/Merry plot at the Colfax Cemetery at a later date.

Ron was born on March 14, 1950 and adopted shortly thereafter by Reuben & Letha Merry. He grew up in Pullman and graduated from Pullman High School. He joined the United States Navy but was discharged for medical reasons. He didn't let that get him down, however, and went on to attend Spokane Community College where he graduated with honors.

In his earlier years Ron enjoyed camping, fishing, swimming and hiking. He enjoyed spending time at the Sam Owen Campground in Hope, Idaho and the Kalallock Campground on the Washington coast.

He is survived by his daughters Brenda of Clarkston, WA and Karla of Post Falls, ID; sons Brian of Pennsylvania and Zachary of Lacey, WA; father Reuben of Pullman and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother Letha.

Memorial contributions in Ron's honor are suggested to a charity of choice. Bruning Funeral Home of Colfax is caring for the family.
