Ronald N Shahan of Steptoe passed away at his home on January 28 ^th 2023.

Ron was born November 13 ^th 1951 to Royce and Sherry Shahan and grew up on the family farm near Steptoe butte with his sisters Mikelyn and Dawn. Ron attended Steptoe grade school and graduated from Colfax High.  After high school Ron attended farrier school in Colorado and did horse shoeing and worked for farmers for several years before going to work for McGregor Co in December of 1979. He worked for McGregor's until March of 1994 when he quit and purchased his own semi and trucked until he retired.

He married Rita Bruins in 1973, they had two sons- Reid and Justin.  They later divorced and he married Kim Straight in 1982. They had two sons-Jeremy and Jacob.  They later divorced.

Ron loved to cowboy, hunt and ride his four wheeler around Steptoe.  He was the happiest on his horse looking for cows in the mountains.  Ron was involved with the junior rodeo and the sheriffs posse. He loved to watch the boys wrestle in high school.

He is survived by three sons, Reid of Dusty, Jeremy (Kori) of Helena, Mt and Jacob (Keisha) of Spokane and sister Mikelyn Getz in Colfax.  Ron had 12 grandkids, Lincoln, Max Shahan, Kali,Caden and Kenna Johns; Harper, Declan, Crue , Obi Shahan, Kennedy Ritter and Piper and Paige Shahan.

Ron was preceded in death by parents Royce and Sherry, sister Dawn and son Justin.

The family requests donations be made to the Steptoe Fire department or St Judes hospital in lieu of flowers.
