Ronald Vincent "Ron" Taylor, 79, of Colfax, died August 11, 2019 at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA. Ron was born Feb. 19, 1940 to Harry & Mary Taylor in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He spent his early childhood in Montana, Oklahoma and Texas, finally moving to the Cheney area where he graduated from Cheney High School in 1958. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and attended E.W.U. In 1966 Ron married Annette Davis in Deer Park, WA. They moved to Colfax for Ron to become owner/operator of Colfax Meat Packing in 1971. Ron had many talents and interests including shooting, Civil War history, coin collecting and the general pursuit of knowledge. He had a vast store of books on many subjects. Ron was a devout Catholic, greatly loved and respected by his family and friends and will be sorely missed. He is survived by his wife Annette and his four children Blaise, Justin, Rhani and Erin; 15 grandchildren and two great granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Carole, two grandsons Mylze and Jude and by his daughter Tanya who passed away earlier this year. Recitation of the Holy Rosary is set for Monday evening Aug. 19 th at 7:00 P.M. at St. Patrick's Church in Colfax. His Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Patrick's on Tuesday morning at 11:00 A.M. on Aug. 20 th . Bruning Funeral Home of Colfax, WA has been entrusted with arrangements.
