Russell Edward Farmer (40) passed away at home on Sunday March 4, 2018 after a two year battle with cancer. He was born on January 29, 1978 to Shirley Elias Farmer and Gene Farmer.
He was raised by Shirley and step-dad Roger Schmitt in Asotin WA. Russ attended school in Asotin where he played basketball and football. He made many friends while at school, most of which he stayed friends with all his life. He then went to Columbia Basin Community College to play basketball. After breaking his foot he decided to leave college and joined the Army. He was stationed at Fort Hood in Texas for two years then returned to Asotin after his discharge. He worked in Alaska for the fishing season his first summer out of the Army, for DeAtley Crushing for several years and then worked in construction. He loved being in the outdoors and especially enjoyed being with his little buddy Major who he loved like a son.
Russ is survived by his mom Shirley Elias, brother Sean Stiles, his nephew Kellen and niece Rylan, aunts Stacy Jacksha (Jim) and Sue Elias, step-dad Roger Schmitt, his girlfriend Adria Smith and her son Major.
Russ requested not to have a formal service. He just wants his friends to remember him when they get together. Kimball Funeral Home of Pullman, WA is caring for the family.
