Ruth Loucks, 86, of Pullman, died August 18, 2016 at Avalon Care Center in Pullman, WA. Ruth was born May 18, 1930 in Columbus, Nebraska to Eugene & Clara (Schroder) Miessler. She grew up in Columbus, NE where she attended school. She graduated from Gulf Park Jr. College for women in Gulf Port, MS in 1950. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Nebraska in 1952. Ruth taught school in Omaha, NE and Seattle, WA. Ruth Married Richard Loucks on July 11, 1954. Following his graduation from Law School they moved to Pullman in 1956 where they have made their home since that time. Ruth was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Pullman and the Chapel Guild of Concordia. She was also active with the Children's Home Society as well as being a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Ruth is survived by her husband Richard at the family home in Pullman; her two sons Steve of Pullman and Tom of Newport Beach, CA and her two grandsons Matt and Adam. The memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016 at Concordia Lutheran Church, 1015 NE Orchard Dr., in Pullman. Ruth will be interred in Columbus, Nebraska at a later date. Kimball Funeral Home of Pullman, WA has been entrusted with arrangements.
