IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ryan
Willson
March 28, 2002 – July 11, 2020
Ryan Maurice Willson, 18, of St. John, was killed in a single vehicle accident early in the morning of July 11, 2020 near St. John. A Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, July 18 th , beginning at 11:00 AM at the St. John Fairgrounds and Community Building. A private burial service for the family will be in the St. John Cemetery. Ryan was born March 28, 2002 to Gary and Erica Willson in Pullman. He joined his lifelong friend and sister, Mary Kate growing up on the family farm near St. John. They both enjoyed raising and competitively showing livestock. Ryan loved driving starting with a lawn mower, grain truck, tractors, and the combine. He graduated from St. John High School last month.
Ryan's passion for trapshooting started at an early age and he enjoyed winning many shooting honors. His humble and calm way helped him coach other shooters.
Ryan enjoyed spending time with his sister, cousins and close family friends. His sense of humor was one in a million but more than anything he liked being a good' ole' farm boy. When Mark Kate met and married Ben Littlefield, he was so happy to have a new brother to share adventures with.
Family meant everything to Ryan. This year he was especially proud to help his grandparents Jim and Margaret Gisselberg. This year would be his first wheat crop from planting to harvest to carry on the family farm tradition.
He leaves his parents Gary and Erica Willson, sister Mary Kate (Ben) Littlefield, grandma Karen Willson, and grandparents Jim and Margaret Gisselberg all of St. John as well as extended family and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard Willson. The family suggests donations in his memory be to the St. John Gun Club for an FFA trapshooting scholarship or to the St. John EMTs. Bruning Funeral Home of Colfax is caring for the family.
