Sandra "Sandy" Lee Peck, 90, of Pullman, WA passed away January 7, 2025 at Pullman Regional Hospital, Pullman, WA, surrounded by family and friends. Sandy was born April 29, 1934 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Richard & Wanda (Huffman) Lee. She grew up in Fort Wayne until the family moved to Bradenton, Florida where Sandy graduated from Manatee High School. She earned her bachelor's degree from Florida State University, later receiving her master's degree from Columbia University's Teachers College in New York. Before marriage, Sandy traveled the world, living and working in New York City, Washington, DC and Philadelphia, PA, where she met Jeffrey Peck working in a psychology lab. Married in England in August of 1971, they moved to Salt Lake City, UT to raise their family. Sandy was passionate about her work in support of rights and democracy, eventually becoming the Executive Director of the Salt Lake League of Women Voters. She enjoyed politics and ensured important information was made available to all Utahns. She retired to Norman, OK and then moved to Pullman, WA in 2020. Sandy enjoyed traveling, playing piano, photography, birdwatching, and painting. Education was a very important to her, and she enjoyed watching members of her family take their own educational, creative, and professional journeys. She is survived by two sons Andy Peck of Oakland, CA and Matt Peck of Pullman, WA; daughters-in-law Sabrina Berger and Laura Bartley; grandchildren Max, Quinn & Sasha; and her niece Shari and nephew Rick. She was preceded in death by her husband Jeffrey and her brother Dennis Lee. No public services are planned at this time.
